Das Fitr-Fest war die letzte Veranstaltung des Islamischen Zentrums Hamburg zu diesem gesegneten Monat der Gottesnähe. Es gilt als eines der beiden großen Feste der Muslime, das zum Abschluss des Fastenmonats Ramadhan gefeiert wird. Der eigentliche Name „Fitr-Fest“ kommt von der Zakat-ul-Fitr, der Almosenabgabe, die spätestens in der Nacht zum Fest entrichtet wird.
